Absolutely no-brainer travel essentials for women
First and foremost, don’t forget your passport if you’re traveling internationally or your ID for any kind of travel – that’s the most important thing! You will need your IDs, from hotel check-ins to hiring transport. And no, your IDs on your phone may not sometimes work at some places, so you must also carry a hard copy.
2. travel wallet
You’ll also want to have a travel wallet to keep all your important documents, such as passport, ID, boarding pass, credit cards, cash, and other essential documents, in one place.
3. First Aid Kit
You never know when you might need Band-Aids, pain relievers, or antacids, so it’s always best to be prepared. Throw in some extra contact lenses or glasses if you wear them as well.
4. Travel insurance
Oh, if you have one, don’t forget to pick it up! It protects against unforeseen events such as unexpected medical expenses, flight cancellations, lost or stolen luggage, and more. Having a travel insurance policy can give you peace of mind and make sure that you are covered no matter what happens while traveling.
And if you don’t, here’s a helpful beginner’s guide to travel insurance that you’d wanna read!

5. A good carry-on bag
You’ll want a carry-on bag that’s large enough to fit everything you need, but not so large that it’s cumbersome to carry. Look for a bag with multiple compartments and pockets to help you stay organized.
6. Comfy walking shoes
Darling, no matter how much you love to flaunt those heels, having a pair of comfy walking shoes in your luggage is simply non-negotiable. You will be out to explore unknown terrains. And you may have to walk and stroll a lot to explore new places. And we all know how much it hurts when we keep those heels on for a few hours 😭
Feel free to choose from these: Flip Flops, sneakers or sandals – whatever keeps your feet and legs happy! Look for shoes with good arch support and cushioning to prevent fatigue.
7. Shoe liners
In case you have a space crunch and are carrying just one or two pairs of shoes, this is something that you will find extremely handy!
These shoe liners come in different sizes. Simply insert them in your shoes every time you go out. This will keep your feet dry and fresh. Your feet will not stink anymore, and you won’t have to feel embarrassed every time you remove your shoes in front of others.
8. Denim/leather jacket
Babe, I am sure you already know what and when to wear during this vacation, but you cannot predict the weather spot on. And if you are going anywhere near lakes, beaches, or mountains, you need am extra coverup whatsoever!
Also, an additional layer will ensure that you’re covered and secure if you, by mistake, enter a shady area. Moreover, denim or leather jackets are timeless fashion items that you won’t regret flaunting on your next vacation.
Most of us often forget to pack sleepwear and end up sleeping in uncomfortable and tight-fitted outfits. So, packing a couple of sleepwear is the ultimate essential if you want to enjoy a sound and peaceful sleep in your hotel. Now you don’t want to carry 4 nightsuits on a 4-night stay like me but 2 would be necessary.
10. Travel pillow
A travel pillow will help you get some rest on long flights or car rides. Look for one that’s inflatable, so you can pack it down small when not in use.
11. An eye mask
You have no idea how useful thing this little thing can be So, if one of my friends wants to stay up to read a book or play games, I get to enjoy my beauty sleep. And, of course, throw it in your carry-on bag because you might also need it during long flights!
12. A pair of sunglasses
This is something I cannot do without if I am going out on vacation!
Sunglasses are a must-have for any sunny destination. They’ll protect your eyes and help you look good too, so why not!
Never miss out on packing a robust and stylish pair of goggles and see how stylish your pictures turn out to be 😎 I particularly like carrying my luxe ones for the pictures, but if you’re a bit clumsy or irresponsible, you can get yourself some cheap but equally gorgeous sunglasses!
13. Lightweight clothing
You want clothes that won’t take up too much space in your bag, and that won’t weigh you down. Choose fabrics that are wrinkle-resistant and easy to wash so you can pack light and still look presentable.
Also, please please put your outfits together prior to leaving home. Don’t just guess and wait for THE day. You’ll pack more than you need and sometimes, just sometimes, the outfit in your head doesn’t come out to be as sassy as you wanted it to be 🙂
14. portable mini steamers
I fathom carrying irons but also can’t stand wrinkled clothing. Enter a life-saving mini fabric steamer that gives you 15 minutes of perfect continuous steaming!
15. Well-fitted undergarments
Ah, girls can never forget their essentials, do they?
I make sure to carry –
- a strapless bra
- a push-up bra
- a plunging neck one
- My pasties and bra pad inserts for those backless dresses and tops
And to keep your bras safe and in shape, you neeeeeeeed this bra organizer. It’s my ultimate riches, lol, as I’m always worried about ruining the pads.
As for panties, try to pack light colors as they’ll not be visible from any kind of see-through fabric. I also carry a pair of skims shorts to wear under my dresses on days I have planned adventurous activities. Though wearing a dress on those days is silly, but I have a problem!!!
16. Sanitary napkins, tampons or Menstrual cups
No one wants to get caught off guard when Aunt Flo pays a visit. But we may or may not remember the exact dates and can stain our clothes. In those urgent times, you will find yourself in a complete mess if you forget to carry your sanitary napkins and menstrual cups.
17. Scrunchies or claw clips
Always pack at least 4 to 5 scrunchies if you do not wish to look like a complete mess!
Hair ties and scrunchies come in handy when you are traveling in an open jeep or enjoying that big wheel ride. If not that, I use them while curling my hair or tieing them in a ponytail on bad hair days.
Beauty travel essentials for women
While exploring a new place, you will travel a lot. And your delicate skin will get exposed to the harsh rays of the sun. Even if the weather is cool and pleasurable, your skin can get damaged because of exposure to direct sun rays. And don’t you wanna swim freely in the pool?
It is, therefore, almost mandatory to carry your favorite sunscreen product while you are on vacation.
19. AM and PM skincare products
Just because you are on a break does not mean your skin should take a break too!
Your skin, in fact, requires extra attention when you are out. This is the time when you will eat all those junk foods and travel a lot without taking ample rest. So, to maintain that glow on your face, do pack your niacinamides, hyaluronic acids, retinol, moisturizers, and face oils in your luggage.
This is how a typical skincare routine looks like cleanser < toner < antioxidant serum < eye cream < spot treatment < moisturizer < face oil < sunscreen.
20. Facial wipes
Wet wipes are great for freshening up on long flights or days when you just can’t seem to get clean. Keep a pack in your bag for emergencies! You can also use these facial wipes as a makeup remover at the end of the day.
21. Dry shampoo
My absolute travel essential for women, I cannot fathom washing my ultra-long hair every other day. It’s such a task. So dry shampoo is a no-brainer for me! And if you have an extra oily scalp, for you too! I bet you’ll have no bad hair days!
22. Lip balm
Don’t ignore your kissable lips while packing for your next trip!
Among all the lip colors, nail paints, foundations, eye shadows, and blushers, don’t forget to pack your favorite lip balm. If possible, carry two lip balms just in case you lose one in the rush of exploring different tourist places.
Talking of nail paints, do you too wanna carry them but are scared to death that they’ll most prob leak? Here’s exactly how to pack nail polish for moving! 😉
23. Basic makeup products
I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to look – umm, not presentable. So can’t live without my no-makeup makeup look 😉
So, make sure you pack at least your basic makeup products, such as concealer, compact powder, blush, mascara, and lipsticks.
Do not rely on your hotel for toiletries. No matter how good your hotel is, you won’t get the brands that you have been using at your home. So, I would advise you to carry your own toiletries. These include your toothbrush, shampoo, body wash, hair conditioner, and so on.
I am obsessed with this toiletry bag, and god knows how easy it makes things for me!
25. Hair staying tools & products
How can we forget our hair amidst all the cute outfits, manicures and makeup? So here are a few things you need for them to look adorbs
- Hair straightener cum curler: It’s so convenient to carry, and you can create hell many hairstyles as you want.
- Heat protectant spray: Of course, of course! It really does make a difference, and I am standing proof of that.
- Hair serum: For days you want to flaunt your natural mane without frizz!
- Some clips and hair ties: To mostly help assist with all the hairdos.
26. handheld mirror
This comes from my friend and not me because I think hotels and phone cameras are enough for times you wanna touch up or get ready, but she said that when she travels with us, she doesn’t get time or place in front of the mirror to dress up as we are all so many at the same time. Oh, please, Karen! 😒
27. refillable perfume bottles
I have raved about these gems and told you how they are so cute and super handy for smelling good all day! They’re truly an investment, especially for me, as I like to carry different fragrances for different vibes and the glass bottles are way too heavy for that.
Gadgets and Devices
Apart from clothes, toiletries and beauty products, you would also need certain gadgets and devices that will make your trip easy and hassle-free. Have a look!
28. Portable charger/ power bank
Carrying a portable charger is extremely important, especially if you are traveling solo. You don’t want to end up all alone in a desolated place with a dead mobile phone. Also, we live in a time when all our booking details are stored on our smartphones. So that dreaded “low-battery” notification can simply suck the fun out of the trip.
A power bank keeps your phone charged, no matter how many selfies you click throughout the day!
29. Multi-port charging cable
If you are a gadget enthusiast, I think you will love using a multi-port charging cable. These cables are compatible with all your gadgets, such as laptops, smartphones (apple as well as android), cameras, and so on. The versatility of these cables makes them extremely easy to use.
30. Universal adaptor
Here’s a gadget that you must definitely carry anywhere you travel. These universal adaptors are compatible across multiple nations and would save a lot of trouble for you.
31. A noise-canceling headphone/earpods
Make your flight journey peaceful with noise-canceling headphones or earphones. Whether you want to watch a movie, listen to any podcast or play games, put on headphones and block all the disturbances.
32. A cool camera
Yes, yes, we all have those fancy smartphones that click good-quality pictures. But if you are a photography buff and have camera skills, I would suggest you carry your camera on every vacation. The idea of traveling to new places is to make memories.
And if you have a camera, you would be amazed to see how photogenic your life and memories turn out to be!
Want to read your favorite books on the go? Carry a Kindle and stay sorted. E-books will keep you sorted. You do not have to carry physical books. Kindle keeps it lightweight for you and also gives you access to thousands of books as per your preferences.
