I’m sure you’ve all seen the pictures of perfectly shaped and filled in eyebrows that are all the rage these days. It’s called microblading, and it’s basically the process of getting your eyebrows tattooed on. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Tattooing your eyebrows? Isn’t that a little bit extreme? And frankly, I used to think so too. But after doing a little bit of research, I have to say that I am now a microblading convert!

Many people are interested in microblading but are worried about how it will look if they decide to take a break from it or want to try a new style. So for them, fading microblading is absolutely possible with some skincare products, tips, and measure and it doesn’t have to be expensive.

In this blog post, we’ll give you a few tips on how to fade microblading fast at home using skincare products.

How Microblading Works

Microblading is a type of semi-permanent makeup that involves using a small blade to deposit pigment into the skin. The pigment is placed in the upper layers of the skin, which is why it typically only lasts for one to three years. Microblading can be used to create the appearance of fuller, darker eyebrows. It’s also sometimes used to fill in areas of hair loss on the scalp.

The Fading Process

If you’re interested in fading your microblading, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, it’s important to understand that there are two types of fading: lightening and removing. Lightening microblading is a gradual process that involves using bleaching agents to slowly lighten the pigment over time.

Removing microblading, on the other hand, is a more immediate process that involves using a strong solvent to lift the pigment out of the skin entirely.

Why Would Someone Want to Fade Microblading Fast?

Microblading is not the cheapest form of permanent makeup. A microblading session can cost anywhere from $250-550! That’s a pretty penny to pay, But I absolutely HATE filling in my eyebrows. If you’re like me, spending the money not to have to fill in my brow for 18 to 30 months so pretty darn worth it!

But, there are a couple of reasons someone may want to fade microblading fast.

  • After the procedure, your eyebrows are very dark and can be unexpected. The pigments need a little while to go through the healing process. Usually, after about two weeks, they gradually fade into the right shade. But, those two weeks can seem like ages to some people.
  • Some people are unhappy with their microblading results and may not like the shade or shape of their brows. It’s important to find a microblading artist you trust. They should be well-educated and know what they are doing. Bad planning, low-quality pigment, and poor aftercare instructions can cause brow issues. Bad microblading is totally a thing, and you want to educate yourself about the process and the professional before making an appointment.

How To Fade Microblading Fast At Home

diy remedies to fade microblading fast

If you feel like you are about to be part of a microblading gone wrong video (I wish you never be), or you just want your brows to fade a little faster than usual. There are a few methods you can use to fade microblading at home, but before we get into that, it’s important to note that microblading removal is best left to the professionals.

I also want to lay down a much-needed warning real quick! The results from fading your microblading can be a little less than what you expected. Your eyebrows will look patchy and uneven and pathetic as some spots will get lighter quicker and some will take time.

Also, some remedies give much faster results than others for which regular product application is required. Not only that, without proper supervision, you could easily be harsher on your skin than it can tolerate.

So my advice to you is that first, please consult your technician that you’re facing this problem and you wanna get rid of it. Most of the time, microblading will fade eventually and look more natural after they have healed.

Second, if you do wanna give these DIY remedies a shot, be sure of the results, and if you feel any sort of discomfort, your dermatologist must be on speed dial!

That being said, if you’re interested in fading your microblading faster at home, here are a few tips:

Tip #1: Skip the Care Instructions

To help speed up the fading process, the quickest and easiest way is to ignore the aftercare process. First, I am not saying this is the best way to go about microblading fading. Your eyebrows are in the healing process, and they could easily get infected if you do not follow the super important protective instructions, like applying an ointment etc.

However, your technician will tell you not to get your eyebrows wet within 12-24 hours and for the first week not to put on makeup, avoid the sun, and try not to sweat. Ignore all the above if you want the microblading fade to happen. You can also skip your touch-up appointment as well.

Tip #2: Exfoliation

Once your skin is completely healed, you could try and fade the pigment by exfoliation. This will help to slough off any dead skin cells that may be holding onto the pigment, making it easier for the pigment to leave the skin. You can use a gentle exfoliating scrub or even just a wet washcloth to lightly buff away at the area.

Just be careful not to scrub too hard, as this can irritate the skin and make the fade process take longer.

Consistent use of an AHA or BHA exfoliant will also help speed up cell turnover and make it easier for the fading agent to penetrate the skin.

The most intense and one-time result exfoliation methods are chemical peels and microdermabrasion, which we’ll talk about soon!

Tip #3: Sweat It Up!

Visit the gym or sauna as often as possible if you want to fade microblading fast. Salty sweat will force the pigment out. If you live by the ocean, even better! Saltwater will also help fade the pigment quickly.

Tip #4: Salt

Like sweating, you could use a salt peel to help fade microblading quicker. It pretty much combines exfoliation and sodium chloride to grab onto the pigments and get them out of the skin.

But remember, you are exfoliating with salt and some water, leaving your skin more open to infections. So either protect your skin from all of them or, better, seek a professional!

tip #5: Using skincare ingredients

Ingredients like vitamin C, glycolic acid, retinol, and salicylic acid are magical in skincare. They are meant to boost collagen production and increase cell turnover – shed dead skin cells and regenerate new ones like crazy. No doubt they are one of the best solutions for anti-aging!

And as far as I remember, we do wanna shed the pigmented skin, right? So using these ingredients in the forms of serums and creams for a considerable moment of time can help solve the issue without being abrasive.

Tip #6: Hydrogen Peroxide

Within the first few hours, 72 hours to be exact, you can try removing microblading pigment with hydrogen peroxide. It’s a solid remedy.

Just make a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, apply it over your eyebrows and rinse it off after 5-10 minutes. It’s a strong formulation, so don’t risk it any longer!

Don’t try it if your eyebrows haven’t healed properly else there are high chances that you can open gates to infection with this.

Tip #7: Bleach ‘Em

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. I am not suggesting you use hair bleach or laundry bleach on your eyebrows. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS! The tattoo removal bleaching creams are different and you can find them here. They are meant to work on microblading pigment. However, these products are not FDA approved and can leave lighter patches. I would try other methods before picking this one!

Fastest ways To Fade Microblading With A Professional

You may not feel comfortable enough to remove microblading by yourself, and that’s totally understandable. There are some professional ways to get your old brows back quickly.

Tip #8: Microdermabrasion

Beauticians take many years of training in different exfoliation methods. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels will be the most effective treatment you can get when deciding how to fade microblading fast.

With just one session, you’ll see a much lighter pigment, but this may also result in uneven or patchy-looking eyebrows. So it’s always better to take more than one session for perfect results!

Tip #9: Microblading Removal

This process is so effective it is pretty much the best and safest microblading removal technique known. In this, the professional injects a saline solution into the skin on top of the pigment, and the solution dissolves it. But one important thing to note here is that it’s a pretty aggressive treatment that leaves your skin very red for multiple weeks, sometimes as long as six weeks.

tip #10 laser tattoo removal

Laser tattoo removal is one of the most common methods for fading microblading. It works by breaking up the pigment of the tattoo with pulses of light from a laser. This method is effective but can be costly and time-consuming – you may need multiple sessions to completely fade your microblading.

How do you fade healed microblading?

First, it’s important to note that healed microblading will never completely disappear – the pigment will always be there, even if it’s faded. That said, here are a few ways to help fade your healed microblading:

  • Use a Q-tip or cotton to gently apply the lightening or bleaching cream.

How long does it take to fade microblading?
