Say hello to sun-kissed skin without the worries because you’re gonna leave with the best K-beauty sunscreens.
Sunscreens are an absolute non-negotiable when it comes to everyday skincare routine. You cannot afford to step out in the sun without quality sun protection slathered on your face, neck and other exposed body parts. The harmful UVA and UVB rays can cause severe damage to your skin in the form of tanning, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, and even skin cancer.
But choosing the right sunscreen for your skin can be a humongous task. Not just your skin type, but you also have to keep in mind other factors such as the level of sun protection, the formulation of sunscreens, and so much more.
Today, I will be spilling the beans on the best Korean sunscreens that your skin will simply love! I am a huge fan of Korean sun care and will be sharing honest reviews of the Korean sunscreens that I have been using.
Why Korean, you ask? Hold tight, girl! You will get to know that too!
Why Choose Korean Sunscreen over the US-based Ones?
Not only do they shield your skin from damaging rays, but they also keep it glowing and happy on the inside. With Korean sunscreens, you can easily say goodbye to heavy, ghostly-white formulas and hello to lightweight, innovative protection that won’t quit.
Korean sun filters are designed with a preventive approach which is way better than Western sunscreen’s “immediate cure” approach. You know, you can trust that they’ve got your back (and your face) for the long haul. So why settle for a quick fix when you can have a dedicated ally in your daily routine?
I personally have switched to Korean sunscreens, and trust me; I will never go back to their Western counterparts.

16 Best Korean Sunscreens to Protect Your Skin from Harsh Sun Rays!
1. Missha Soft Finish Sun Milk
It is literally impossible for me to get over the milky, creamy and soft texture of Missha Soft Finish Sun Milk. I can wear sunscreen every day, even if the temperature outside is soaring high! The product is humidity resistant and offers longevity against water and sweat.
It feels light in weight and does not leave stickiness or white cast on your face. Although, this Korean sunscreen does have a mild fragrance, but it actually seems quite soothing.
The product is formulated especially for sensitive, oily and combination skin types.
Another thing that I want to mention here is that Missha sunscreen is free from oxybenzone, as well as completely cruelty-free.
P.S. This Korean sunscreen is super affordable. But don’t go by its price as the product is damnnnn gooooood.
2. COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream
COSRX is one of the BEST Korean beauty brands that do a lot of hard work on each of its products. And this brand never fails to amaze me with its effectiveness. (Fav for a reason!)
So, when I got the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream, I was already expecting miracles.
First things first, the sunscreen gets absorbed into my skin in NO time. And it leaves absolutely NO white cast as well. The light weight of the product allows me to slather the sunscreen generously on my face to ensure complete coverage.
I have been using this COSRX sunscreen for almost 2 months now, and it actually helps my makeup to stay longer. No no, it’s not sticky or tacky but just the right consistency for a facial sunscreen.
BUT I simply won’t recommend this COSRX sunscreen for oily skin. It just makes it look mar oilier and greasy.
So, in short, if you want to pick the best Korean sunscreen for dry skin out of the lot, THIS IS IT.
3. Thank You Farmer Sun Cream
First of all, I just love the name of this Korean beauty brand so much, it gets me everytime. Secondly, the amazing formulation of this sunscreen makes it suitable for all skin types – oily, sensitive, combination, and even dry. The goodness of holly rock root and aloe vera soothe your skin.
On the other hand, the bamboo extracts and African walnut oil add to nurture and nourish your skin from deep within.
The product, on application, does not feel sticky or heavy on your skin at all. Also, there will be no white cast, I promise!
Plus, this Korean sunscreen does not get tested on animals. So, highly recommended!

This one is literally a life savior for all my damsels who are always in a rush, especially in the morning hours. I know how tempting it looks to ditch your AM skincare routine when you have an important 9 am meeting or lecture to attend and you wakeup at 8:30.
With Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream, this is actually possible. The innovative and “next level” hybrid sunscreen actually consists of ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, birch tree saps, amino acids, etc. They work together to offer in-depth nourishment and hydration.
And, apart from all those skincare juics, it is also a superb sunscreen lotion in itself, protecting you from all the uv rays and SPF 50 pa. What more could a girl ask for?
You just need to apply this sunscreen on your skin, and you are sorted!

THIS WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!
With more than 20 plant-based ingredients, the Etude House Sunprise sunscreen is the perfect thing for your sensitive skin type. From blocking harmful UV rays to soothing your skin, this Korean baby does everything.
The product is non-greasy and does not lead to breakouts. The feather-light weight of the product is a plus point as you can keep wearing sun protection all throughout the day.

Apart from sensitive skin, this Korean sunscreen is also good for oil and combination skin types.

If you have been in search of a sunscreen that offers sun protection for your excessively dry skin, then Dr. Jart+ Every Sun Day Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+ can be a match made in heaven. The product blends onto your skin so effortlessly and hydrates your dry and damaged skin from within.
I tried it from my friend once and I must say that I am in awe of this lightweight sunscreen and love the fact that it does not leave behind in pesky white cast or stickiness on my face. It’s a non-negotiable in her bag and I totally get why. She has an insanely dry skin tone, btw.
8. Laneige Hydro UV Defence Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
If there’s one Korean skincare brand that I can trust with authenticity, it’s Laneige. Rarely there products go to the trash. And, of course, their sun cream is dermatologically approved. In fact, I got introduced to this amazing Korean sun protection product by my dermat only.
The best thing about this product is that it is suitable for all skin types, but I especially recommend it for dry skin types. Plus, the sunscreen can heal your damaged skin and soothe inflammation and redness on your skin. The savvy formulation includes ionized mineral water and offers INTENSE moisturization to your skin.
P.S. This Korean sunscreen is non-greasy in texture and does not leave your skin oily. So you do not have to worry about acne or blackheads.
9. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen SPF 50
The name itself is tempting enough, at least for me, who is a sucker for that no makeup, natural and dewy look.
The formulation includes ingredients that your skin would absolutely love – aloe extracts, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, etc. Together, these ingredients work wonders to give you that luminous glow on your skin.
This one of the best Korean sunscreen is extremely easy to apply, feels super light in weight, does not make your face oily or shiny, and also goes well with your makeup.
Pro Tip: Use this sunscreen as a primer and witness the magical glow on your face. 😍
10. Beauty of Joseon Matte Sunscreen stick
I don’t know if you’ve heard it or not, but Beauty of Joseon is the new “IT K-beauty brand” with awesome products, especially their sunscreens.
I love love love this sunscreen stick to the core. First of all, it works like a charm at absorbing excess sebum for a long-lasting matte finish, talking to all the oily skin types here!
And the fact that it comes in a fuss-free, easy-to-apply stick format is a game changer. This little wonder doesn’t leave any greasy or clumpy residue, thanks to its chemical formula and silica powder.
But wait, there’s more! With mugwort, cica and green tea extracts, your skin will not only be protected from the sun’s harmful rays but also nourished, soothed and moisturized. Tell me it’s not a dream come true!
11. Sulwhasoo Snowise UV Daily Cream
Sulwhasoo is yet another trusted Korean skincare brand I have been a loyal user of for at least the last year or so.
This baby by Sulwhasoo is simply one of the best I have come across to date. I mean, just have a look at the label for the ingredients. They utilize some Korean herbs that even the ancient Korean people used in their skincare and beauty regimes. Maybe because of these ingredients, my skin feels so freakin’ smooth and radiant every time I use it.
If you are looking for a skincare ingredient that can help you get that elusive Korean glass skin effect, then try Sulwhasoo Snowise UV Daily Cream. I personally have been using this sunscreen as a primer, and it layers so well with my makeup products.
12. AHC Natural Perfection Double Shield Sun Stick
Another banger Korean sun protection, AHC sunscreen stick, is as awesome as it sounds.
Let me break it down for you. Firstly, its non-greasy formula allows for a smooth and easy application without adding to the natural oil on your skin. Secondly, its lack of strong scent ensures that you can go about your day without the fear of smelling like a chemical factory.
Thirdly, it doesn’t leave an annoying white cast on your skin, which can be a real pain, especially for those with darker complexions. Fourthly, it’s non-comedogenic – no need to worry about pesky breakouts later on in the day.
And finally, the stick format allows for precise application, with the only downside being that you have to use your hands to blend in certain areas.
Trust me, this K-beauty sunscreen stick is a game-changer and I can guarantee a repurchase once I run out. The only downside is that you have to use your fingers to get into the difficult areas like your nose sides or eyelids. But is it really a downside?
13. IPKN Big Apple Sun Cream SPF 50
This sun cream is a superstar multitasker, working hard to minimize the appearance of pores, reduce sebum production, and keep your skin calm and smooth all day long.
Believe me when I say that the Apple Water Extract is not a gimmick—the highly concentrated formula truly nourishes and hydrates your skin, leaving you with an overall smoother complexion. Plus, who doesn’t love a light, fresh apple scent?
As if that wasn’t enough, this Korean sun cream boasts a color-correcting base that creates the perfect canvas for flawless makeup application. And, with an impressive SPF of 50+, you can rest assured that your skin is fully protected from harmful UV rays.
14. Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36
Although the SPF is not as high as other options on the list, yet, this Korean sunscreen manages to be the top favorite among consumers. Reason??
So, basically, the ingredients of this sunscreen make it extra special and highly effective. Sunflower seed oil, green tea, cica, etc., protect your skin from harsh UV rays and also heals redness, irritation and inflammation on your skin.
It can be used every day as the formulation does not lead to breakouts. Also, the product controls excessive secretion of serum and thus is perfect for all the oily girls out there!
15. Dr. Oracle Sunblock SPF 50
This K Beauty sunscreen is a blessing in disguise for those girls who are fed up with their blackheads and acne prone skin. The product simply seeps into your skin as soon as you apply it.
Also, the gel-cream-like texture feels super light on your skin (My boyfriend says it’s a dream). The intelligent formulation ensures that the sunscreen does not clog your pores.
Infused with the goodness of bamboo water, maca root extract, Celtic water etc., this Korean sunscreen renders a silky touch to your skin.
Pro tip: Do not go overboard with the sunscreen. Otherwise, it may leave a white cast on your face.
16. The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Sun Cream
I am adding another Korean sunscreen to the list that is a one-stop solution for all skin types. With SPF 50 and PA++++ protection, this product does it all for your skin. It has chia seeds as well as cotton seeds which ensure that your skin feels fresh and oil-free. The licorice extract in the sunscreen ensures that your skin stays nourished and moisturized throughout. On the other hand, niacinamide controls excess sebum secretion on your face.
I prefer wearing this Korean sunscreen under my daily makeup as it is quite light in weight.
Final Thoughts on Best Korean Sunscreens!
So, these are my top picks when it comes to K beauty sunscreens. As I mentioned earlier, my skin feels a lot healthier after switching to these Korean sun protection products. If you ask me, my personal favorites are COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream and Neogen Dermalogy Day Light Protection Sunscreen. I won’t walk out in the sun without slathering either of these two products on my skin.
Also, I request you, babe, to take sun protection seriously. Just having a fancy Korean sunscreen in your closet won’t do the needful.
