Can’t wait to dive in? Neither can I! Strap in, buttercup!
1. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser
When I say it is a holy grail for oily to combination and acne-prone skin types, I freakin mean it. I first used it when I was a teenager (you know when your skin feels like a teenage dirtbag) and there’s been no day ever since that I regret buying it.
This little bottle of goodness is not your average cleanser. It’s a strong but equally sensitive cleanser that instantly lathers up, diving deep into those pesky clogged pores to kick impurities and excess oil to the curb.
And the BEST part? Unlike many foaming cleansers, even after squeaky cleaning your skin, it does not leave your skin feeling dry, tight or scratchy. Just clean and oh-so-purified!
However, it does have a noticeable tea tree fragrance to it, nothing overbearing but still prominent. So if you’re scent sensitive, beware!
2. the body Shop Vitamin E moisture cream
If you know anything about oily and acne-prone skin, you know that finding a moisturizer that won’t break out can feel like a divine intervention, lol. It is that bad!
This gel cream is unlike anything else out there. It’s an oil-free, absolutely non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula that feels light as a feather on your skin.
Choke full of hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and raspberry seed oil, this moisturizer is truly a godsend. It actually doesn’t make your face look shiny and is more than enough for dry skin to not worry about hydration all day.
Okay, so they’ve recently changed their entire packaging to recyclable glass jars, so they should look different now!
3. the body shop Mango body yogurt
Even if you don’t love mangoes, this body yogurt is such a summer dream vibe that you’ll instantly fall in LOVE! The juicy, tropical mango scent will transport you to a far-off paradise every time you use it!
And to be honest, apart from the mesmerizing, decently long-lasting fragrance, it is a fast-absorbing, weightless formula that is just perfect for when you’re in a rush to put on your favorite summer outfits and don’t want to wait for your moisturizer to dry or legs to feel sticky.
And let’s not forget that it’s 100% vegan, what’s not to love?! Oh yes, the packaging has changed, so you’ll be seeing new green, recyclable packaging for these yummy yogurts now.
That being said, the fragrance is not very long-lasting. It barely sticks around for 3-4 hours.
I also love the British Rose body yogurt, but that’s more of a winter fragrance for me.
4. the body shop Vitamin C glow boosting microdermabrasion
If you’re looking for a radiance-boosting exfoliating treatment that’ll leave your skin feeling unbelievably soft and smooth, then The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion is a must-have!
I mostly use The Ordinary peeling solution for exfoliation, but with that, we gotta wait for the results to show up in the long term. So I was looking for a quicker alternative to glowing skin.
I usually steer clear of abrasive products, but this one is just too precious. It shows noticeable brightening effects from the first use only.
Pro tip: It is NOT for sensitive skin types. And you must not use it more than once a week. It’s really strong, babe, so be gentle and use it sparingly.
5. the body shop Strawberry Body butter
I have used my fair share of body lotions to hydrate my desert-like body. But THIS, my love, is, BY FAR, the BEST body shop product ever. EVER.
As for its texture – it’s really thick. Thicker than butter, I would. But melts into the skin within seconds and doesn’t even feel thick or sticky like most of the nourishing body moisturizers do. Pure magic, I would say! All in all, I love it. I think it would be a dream come true in winter.
6. the body shop tea tree targeted gel
Let me tell you upfront, I had zero expectations from this product. It came in a thin, tiny, lip gloss-like tube, and I just didn’t think it would be potent enough.
But if it didn’t work, it wouldn’t be on the list of best The Body Shop products, right?
I had this huge zit the other day, which of course, left a huge dark blemish. And who helped me not get an acne scar? This little baby! I think it’s something to do with tea tree oil being used at its best potency, but overall, the performance is 10 on 10.
It has a clear, feather-light formula that you just apply and sleep at night! It doesn’t show up, unlike the other acne spot treatment that I love – Mario Badescu drying lotion.
7. the body shop Himalayan charcoal purifying glow mask
I remember trying a Body Shop face mask long ago, which was not good. I think it was matcha or something. So you can understand my reluctance with this new glow mask.
Honestly, it is hands-down one of the best The Body Shop products they’ve ever released. I’m not even exaggerating, this stuff is pure magic for oily skin. Not only does it remove excess oil, but it also sucks out all the dirt and impurities clogging your pores and replaces it with a subtle glow.
The bigger version of it is already in the shipping, I love it SO much, worth every single penny for me.
8. The Body shop tea tree essential oil
Oh, baby! This little bottle of Tea Tree Oil by The Body Shop is the bomb dot com. I’m talkin’ clear skin for days! When I tell you that this stuff is powerful, I mean it. It’s like a secret weapon against pesky pimples and blemishes that just won’t quit.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: “Tea tree oil? That stuff is harsh!” But no-no. This tea tree oil is super lightweight and non-greasy, so it feels like nothing on your skin.
What I love most about this tea tree oil is that it’s not pure tea tree oil. And that’s actually good. Because pure tea tree oil can be a little too potent to use on its own. And anyway you have to dilute it with a carrier oil, so this one’s just super convenient and easy to use!
9. the body shop Avocado shower cream
I always struggle with finding body products that not just say but actually hydrate my skin. My legs, for some reason, cannot get enough nourishment and are always scratchy.
So one day, I was at my friend’s house for a sleepover, and the next morning, I saw The body Shop’s shea shower cream. It was soooo creamy (as the name suggests) and so damn hydrating. It just smelled boring.
And lastly, I don’t even have to slap my body with ton loads of body lotion after. Life’s less greasy!
10. the body shop British Rose shower gel
Who doesn’t love a nice, foaming shower gel? This stuff smells like a rose garden on steroids. It’s so fragrant and sweet, but not in an overpowering way. Instead, it’s both refreshing and calming.
And the best part? It’s suitable for all skin types, so everyone can enjoy its magical powers. I also ordered the Moringa shower gel, which apparently was their BEST SELLER but nah, it was just tooooo floral for me.
11. the body shop drops of light brightening day cream
If you’re looking for a day cream that not only hydrates your skin but also reduces dark spots and hyperpigmentation, this is a pretty nice Body Shop product to try!
This magical cream contains red algae and vitamin C, two ingredients that work tirelessly to brighten and even out your skin tone. Thanks to its silky texture, it feels amazing on your skin while reducing the number, size, and intensity of dark spots.
It’s nothing life-altering because it takes time (I like products that are instant, lol), but pretty good than most of the anti-pigmentation creams out there.
UNFORTUNATELY, THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.
Final verdict on the best body shop products
All in all, The Body Shop has got the goods! If you’re all about finding top-notch skincare or stress relief, these products are seriously the bomb dot com.
They’re made with high-quality stuff and you can trust that they’re ethically produced. And don’t even get me started on the heavenly scents – they’re out of this world!
Oh, and did I mention they make the perfect gifts? So why wait? Treat yourself (or someone special) to some luxury. Till next time, xo
